Video Streaming:
Video Streaming is a method of providing either live or pre-recorded video data on a website. The video can be played as and when it is downloaded from the net. It is not necessary to download the video file in full and save it on the hard drive before one is able to watch it. This saves a lot of time for the user.
With
the growth of the Internet, streaming technologies have become
all the more important as users often do not have sufficient
bandwidth resources to download large files quickly.
Streaming media has also the advantage of providing the ability
to broadcast live events.
Usually a browser plug–in which decompresses and
plays the file in real time is a prerequisite for
streaming.

Video on

strategies. The black status bar at the bottom – indicated by
the red arrow – demonstrates that the data download to the
computer is still in progress while the video is already
running.
