| Page: Definition Subscriber |
A Subscriber is a person who voluntarily gave his permission to be included on a Internet marketer’s mailing list by entering his contact information in a form. This procedure is called opt-in . Thereby the person agrees to receive mailings from this marketer without complaining of spam .
His list of
subscribers is the most valuable asset for any marketer who
considers building a huge list and caring for his subscribers
as his top priority (and that is almost every Internet
marketer). You may have heard of the motto “The Money Is In The
List” which refers to the fact that a marketer can make money
on demand by sending out a sales message to his list of
Subscribers about his own product
or as an affiliate
and profiting from
the subsequent sales. The bigger the list the bigger the
profit.
Having a list of say 10.000
Subscribers and promoting a product which earns the list
owner $25 per sale brings him $2500 if only 1% of his
subscribers buy. Not too bad for a single
mailing.
[Subscriber comes from Latin sub- = underneath, at the bottom and scribere = to write]
