Entrepreneur:

Someone who starts a business in a new or not yet fully explored area and is willing to take a considerable personal risk to push his endeavour through to a success, i.e. make his business profitable. The word is French and literally translated means businessman or industrialist.

Famous Entrepreneurs are Henry Ford (automobiles), Thomas A. Edison (electricity), Sam Walton (Wal-Mart), Bill Gates (Software) and many more.

To address a person as Entrepreneur is meant as a compliment as it implies courage, initiative and perseverance. If you are an Internet marketer you will sometimes be called an Entrepreneur by people who try to sell you something and try to flatter you into buying their products.

[Entrepreneur comes from Latin inter- = between, among, mutually, together and prendere = to take]
