Affiliate:
An Affiliate is someone who recommends another’s product or service to a third person. If this person then buys the product or service the Affiliate receives a commission from the merchant.
The idea of Affiliate marketing exists since mankind started to trade goods and services but with the advent of the internet, Affiliate marketing has been put on steroids which gives the most successful Affiliates a stable 6 to 7 figure annual income.
To become an Affiliate all you have to do is to look for a website selling a great product or check various Affiliate networks for worthwhile products, sign up for it’s Affiliate program, receive your own unique Affiliate link and promote this link on the web. Every time someone clicks on your link they are directed to the product sales page and are registered as being referred by you. If they purchase the product the Affiliate commission is automatically booked on your Affiliate account.
The advances of being an Affiliate are obvious:
No need to develop and/or manufacture your own product. Therefore no head-up costs.
No storage space for goods needed
No work with packing and shipping goods
No troubles with dissatisfied customers which are handled by the merchant
No boss but self determined work at home and
Unlimited earning potential
If you have your own product to sell you can and should profit from Affiliate marketing by establishing an Affiliate program. Provide an attractive commission and recruit as many Affiliates as possible who are then taking care for the traffic of potential customers to your sales page. Of course you then will have to share the profits with them. On the other hand the Affiliates (hopefully) do the promotion for your product which already cuts your necessary investments and you have to pay only if a sale has been done. It is a win-win situation.
[Affiliate comes from Latin affiliare = to be connected]
